Yoga Professional Certification

The word Yoga is derived from Sanskrit Yuj – which means to unite or integrate. Yoga is a system of holistic living, having the roots in Indian tradition and culture. Yoga is a magnificent gift on the ancient tradition, developed by Rishis and practiced from centuries. It brings about the unity of mind and body. It is thus a complete approach to health and well-being. The science of Yoga has the complete essence of the ‘Way of Life’. The Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Government of India, has Launched “Voluntary Certification of Yoga Professional Certification Scheme” and nominated “YOGA CERTIFICATION BOARD” (YCB) for administering Certification & Accreditation Scheme for Yoga Professionals.

The Yoga Certification Board, under the Ministry of AYUSH has the following schemes for yoga Professionals evaluation presently with different levels of competence viz

  • Yoga Volunteer

  • Yoga Protocol Instructor

  • Yoga Wellness Instructor

  • Yoga Teacher & Evaluator

  • Yoga Master

  • Assistant Yoga Therapist

  • Yoga Therapist

The evaluation method is a combination of

  • Written examination

  • Demonstration

  • Oral interview

Passed Candidate will get the Certificate with logos of Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India, Yoga Certification Board and TQ Cert.

The Certificate is valid of 5 years. After completion of 5 years, candidate need to undergo CYEP (Continual Yoga Education Programme) to get life time valid Certificate.
